Press Release Summary: Charity launches single to help young children with cancer

Press Release Body: London, 29 November 2007. The 2Simple Trust has intensified its
campaign to raise funds to help young children suffering from a rare cancer,
neuroblastoma.

The trust has released a single for Christmas entitled 'Thanks for Loving Me' which
can be downloaded for just £1.95 by visiting the 2Simple website and following the
links to the Jack Brown Appeal.

Jack Brown is one of the young victims of this cancer who is being supported by the
trust. The song by Phil Ryan, who performed with The Animals in Moscow, is also
available on CD for £5.00

According to cancerbackup.org.uk, fewer than 100 children are diagnosed with
neuroblastoma in the UK each year. Most children who get this cancer are younger
than five years old.

Neuroblastoma is a cancer of specialised nerve cells, called neural crest cells.
These cells are involved in the development of the nervous system and other tissues.

Neuroblastoma can occur anywhere in the body, but most often occurs in the adrenal
gland in the abdomen (tummy). The adrenal glands are specialised glands, which are
found above the kidneys. They release hormones to maintain blood pressure, and
enable us to respond to stress.

In some children, the neuroblastoma can occur in nerve tissue in the neck, chest, or
around the spinal cord.
